The fields and parking lot are clean, well-lit and well-maintained.

The park looks great, but the landscaping aroung the parking lot looks dead or dying. Not a concern to our little athletes, but it would be nice to have a better view.

In addition to the dead or dying foilage....the litter is out of control. Plently of trash cans available. Perhaps we could persuade our little and/or bigger athletes to do a litter pick up before leaving the park. Leaving it cleaner than they found it.

Thank you for having the access road leading from Woodfield up to Springdale Park cleaned up. Weeds were over two feet tall. What can be done about the litter that is everywhere ? Wrappers of all kinds are left on the ground. Along with beverage cups, water bottles etc.

I have several ongoing issues to report.
1.Over this weekend there were a few ball games at Woodfield. One, maybe two fields being used. Plenty of parking. Not to my surprise, there were the usual amount of SUV's parked on the grass. You will be able to see the sinking tire marks in the same area that had a break in the line previously. Who is paying for the repair to the irrigation and grass?? Why is this area not being patroled and parking tickets issued?? The curbs were all painted during the early part of summer. You can now see that curbs are covered with black tire marks from cars driving over the curb to park along the chain link fencing. AVLL should be covering the cost for the irrigation damage and this area needs to be patroled in order to stop cars from parking on the grass. How ever AVLL notifies their parents of soccer games, you need to notify them to park legally. Try car pooling or walk.
2.The monument into Woodfield has been blank for over a year. I reported this and have obviously gotten no where.
3.The V-ditch that runs along the access road up to Springdale Park is full of dirt right at the bottom where the iron grid is. If it is not taken care of now, when we get our first rain that area will flood because it's blocked with dirt. This happened about a month ago when sprinklers along the access road were on all weekend long and chunks of the slope broke off and now the dirt is at the bottom of the V-ditch.
4. I personally saw a bobcat twice over the past week. One on tuesday evening at about 7:00 and another on Saturday morning at about 7:45. Both times I was walking on the paved road behind all the ball fields. The cat crossed the road with ease and not at all scared. Signs may be something to consider.
Thanks, Melba

There is a broken Peppertree limb near the entrance to the path leading to Springdale Park.

The bleechers on Field 3 are broken and dangerous. Someone has put soda cups over the steel poles so it is deceptively covered, but still a hazard.

The dirt in the planters seems to overflow or run out onto the sidewalk near the snack bar, causing a slip and fall hazard for kids.

The news reported that the body of a missing woman was found at Woodfield Park. This tragedy did not occur in the baseball fields as many people fear. The poor woman was found outside but adjacent to the park.

Why is Woodfield Park closed? Is it just because of the rain, or are the fields being renovated?

Who is in charge of parking down at the ball fields. Parents can't manage their kids, carry their equipment and dodge all of the illegally parked SUV's and mini vans. Help!!!

Help us find legal parking and make the games in time. We need to park and find our fields without worrying about tickets. Has anyone else been sited?
